Thaumaturge

Every soul holds great power. However, only a select few who have trained for years in the use of it can manifest this power in physical ways. These people are known as Thaumaturges, people who wield incredible power over the world around them. However, this strength comes at a cost.In order to use this strength, a Thaumaturge must pull magic from their own soul. While doing this grants them incredible power, overexerting it can kill the user. Because of this weakness, Thaumaturges create “Cruxes”, magical barriers protecting their souls. All the powers of a Thaumaturge is stored within their Crux, allowing them to access it without the risk of damaging their souls. Even with this precaution, Thaumaturges are still not invincible, and often find themselves battling each other, either for their kings and countries, or in an attempt to satiete their own lust for power. When Thaumaturges class, they have no choice but to unleash their full power, and simply hope they’re the one who survives...

Thaumaturge is a two player card game where instead of drawing cards at random, you can take whichever one you want. But be careful: your cards also serve as your health; if you run out, it’s game over!
